Comment period begins for Environmental Project Report

March 28, 2019

On Thursday, March 28, 2019, the City of London issued a Notice of Completion, marking the end of the current phase of the Transit Project Assessment Process (TPAP) for the Bus Rapid Transit Project.

As part of TPAP, the City has completed an Environmental Project Report (EPR), which outlines the BRT project, identifies potential impacts and lists plans to address them.

Members of the public now have 30 days to review and comment on the Environmental Project Report and/or make objections on matters that are significant to the Province. The Notice provides more information on how to comment and make objections.

Following that, the Minister of Environment, Conservation and Parks will have 35 days to make a decision, with the Environmental Assessment scheduled to wrap up in June.

These steps do not bind future decisions of Council, but provide a foundation to move forward on any or all elements of the project, subject to Council direction and funding.
